lake babes.

 just a few days after lara arrived in boise, we got in our swim suits, bought ice cold sodas, cut up a pineapple and headed to the neighborhood pool only to find this . . .

we were totally disappointed and went home and changed right back out of our swimsuits.
 

then last wednesday . . . we got our swimsuits on, made a lunch, gathered our sunscreen and towels and headed over to the pool again . . . only to find a sign similiar to it!  whaaat?  who's the crazy neighbor that doesn't put a swim diaper on their kid???!!!???  

grr.  we were totally bugged.  

it was H.O.T. outside and we were determined to have a day in the sun next to some cool water.  so we packed our things back up, jumped in my car, stopped by the gas station and bought ice cold sodas and some popcorn and headed to lucky peak reservoir.

we sipped our cold sodas and munched on carrot sticks and roasted red pepper hummus and popcorn while we basked in the sun, cooled off in the very cold lake water, and talked and talked and talked.

yet another perfect summer day!
