Last Saturday was a good day . . . it was the first Saturday in a long time that Trav didn't have to work! The best part is, he never has to work a Saturday again! He started his new job today and we are awfully excited about his 8 to 5 schedule. Pumped, actually.
In honor of no work, we went to school instead. By proxy, that is.
Remember how I told you Dave and Sher got married last Friday? Well, the very next day was supposed to be Dave's first day of school. Anatomy and Physiology at 8:00 am. When Trav found that out on Friday night at their wedding, there was no way he was going to let Dave get up at and leave his brand new bride at 7:00am the morning after their wedding. So Trav offered to go to class for Dave with a promise that he would take really good notes. Dave was totally shocked we would even offer to such a thing.
So Saturday morning we got up and went to his class for him, said "here" when they called his name, took really good notes, and felt excited about the possibilities of being a student again in the very near future.
After class we decided the most appropriate and honest thing to do was tell the teacher who we were and who Dave really was. When we told her the whole story and why we were there, she busted into laughter and said she absolutely loved it. She said that's one of the best wedding gifts she's ever heard of.

We did run into Andi and Co., which was a lovely and very fun surprise.

Honestly, that is the cutest story I have heard in ages!! What a neat thing for you kids to do for your friend! And, the capper was when you told the teacher what you had done!!!! I am sure she has probably told so many other teachers about that too!! I hope so because it is so cute!!!
You kids take the cake for sure!!!
I wish we had a little guy at our house who was about a year or two old, cuz I bet you would come and see us then!!! Huh? Huh? Huh?
We loved having you come over at noon Trav!!! Please do it again!!
