A couple of weeks ago (I'm so behind on this blogging/family journaling stuff!) Trav and I went on a hike up Table Rock and afterward headed towards Lucky Peak Reservoir to check out the annual "Rooster Tail."
Every year in May, the water from Lucky Peak Dam is discharged, creating a flume of water nicknamed the "Rooster Tail." The Rooster Tail is created by the water that's left over when Lucky Peak's power plant has more than it needs to produce power.
Lucky Peak's famous Rooster Tail is a sure sign that summer is right around the corner in Boise!
Too bad the sunshine wasn't out welcome summer.
