Travis and I babysat Sarah Jane and Luke last Thursday night while Richard and Kim attended a parenting/marriage class.
We learned a valuable lesson we will hopefully remember when we are parents . . .
No need for expensive, fancy toys. All you need is one, sturdy box.
It started out with Sarah Jane hauling Luke all around the house in the box.
Then it turned into Uncle Travis giving each one of them fast rides full of spins and turns over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Luke was pretty dizzy after each ride. He'd get out of the box and could barely stay on his two feet. He rested up on the couch between each ride..
The kids wore their Uncle Travis right out after a good 30 minutes of riding in the box.
After wearing the kids and Uncle Travis out we made green rice krispy treats with them, as it was St. Patrick's Day. Sarah normally will not eat any kind of food with any kind of green in it. But she loved these! We even got video of her telling me green food is yummy :)

Luke looks so different in that last picture. SO grown up. He looks like a little boy, not a baby. Stop Luke. STOP GROWING! And he looks like someone. Who? You, maybe Cin. I can't figure it out. Maybe Meg?
thanks again. my kids get so excited when they know aunt cindy and uncle travis are coming over! it's so nice knowing they are perfectly taken care of! PERFECTLY!!!
she used to eat everything green, what happened to my veggie loving girl? oh, she turned 3 and became all independent on me. :)

we love that game! we've been using laundry baskets because they fit two inside. my brother pulled our younger cousins around up and down a hallway on a blanket and called them "magic carpet rides", and even though they're pretty much all grown up now, they still remind him of that time.
