garter and bouquet toss.

Travis's 9 year old nephew, Landon caught the garter. If only one of our friends Dustin or Chris would have caught it. They both got engaged just a few weeks after our wedding. I guess they didn't need to catch it . . .

When it was time to throw the bouquet, all of the girls . . . except for those 14 and under . . . sheepishly hung their heads and hoped we wouldn't make them get on the dance floor. I immediately hollered at Lara (sorry, dear) and told her this one was for her. Lara, being the most hilarious girl I know, quickly got into the action and entertained every single one of us there. Lisa and I were especially entertained . . .

The PERFECT Lara picture. Props to Corrina for capturing the moment.

I then of course proceeded to make a foul of myself and hit the ceiling my first try. My mom even warned me of the low ceilings. gah.

Much to my disappointment, the four year old in front of Lara got the bouquet. But no worries . . . I never caught the bouquet in my long history of going to friend's wedding receptions.

Believe me we had a lot of questions on the way home about what it means to catch the garter and who Landen is supposed to marry and how soon and does he have to marry the girl that caught the flowers? It was pretty cute.
