. . . in Cabo San Lucas!
Hands down, the best stop on the cruise.

Cabo San Lucas was the last stop on the cruise. Both Travis and I had heard a lot of great things about Cabo San Lucas and having gotten a sneak peak of the town on day three, we were very excited to spend a day there. Unfortunately, it was the shortest stop of the three . . . we were able to get off the ship at 8:00am and had to be back on at 2:00pm. Even though it was short, we definitely made the most of it.

One of my favorite things about Cabo was where we got off the boat. They anchored the boat in the middle of the Sea of Cortez and we took tenders (the little boat you see above) into the marina. It made the experience so much more exciting!

Once we got to the marina, as usual, we were bombarded with offers from the locals to take us on different excursions . . . each one of course guaranteeing theirs was the best. We found a guy who said he would take us on a 45 minute tour on a glass bottom boat and then drop us off at Lover's Beach for as long as we wanted with snorkeling gear included . . . all for $30 for both of us! We quickly took him up on the offer and shortly after we were out in the middle of the Sea of Cortez, enjoying the beautiful views, the sea lions, and the tropical fish swimming below the glass bottom boat.

The picture above is Lover's Beach which sits on the Sea of Cortez. The passage way through the cliffs takes you to Divorce Beach which sits on the Pacific Ocean. Our boat driver warned us not to go through the passage way, having only been married a week. We didn't listen . . .

. . . we had to go see the beauty of Divorce Beach. And here we are . . . loving each other even more than we did twenty minutes before when our boat driver gave us his word of caution.

Divorce Beach was by the far the most beautiful beach we saw on the whole trip! We're glad we took our chances and went and saw it.

The waves were HUGE on Divorce Beach. This moment right here, right after the waves almost ate me alive, reminded me of my days at Waimaea in Hawaii.

Everyday on our cruise, we had at least two or three couples ask us if we were honeymooners. We'd always ask them how they knew and we had a lot of great replies . . . one lady noticed Travis get my shoes for me without asking and another lady said we just had the twinkle in our eyes. The picture above was taken by a lady and her daughter we met right there on the beach. We said hi to them and they immediately asked us if we were honeymooners. We told them we were and asked them how they could tell. They told us you can always tell honeymooners by how shiny their rings are. That was probably our most disappointing answer . . .

It was hot, hot, HOT there on Lover's Beach. We enjoyed walking around, snorkeling (before my mask started leaking), sitting up on the rocks and enjoying the view, and soaking up the hot mexican sun for one more day!

Being honeymooners is one of the greatest feeling ever. I'm so happy to be married to this boy.

These two pictures were taken from the cruise ship, as we left Cabo San Lucas. We were so sad to leave.

Cabo San Lucas was beautiful, hot, and fun . . . but we feel like we just got a teaser. We are ready to go back one day soon and explore the whole area. Talking to some of the folks on the cruise who had been there before made it sound like a perfect week long destination. Maybe a one year anniversary trip, Babe ;) ???
